“Yvonne, her son and 2 granddaughters relocated from Detroit to Mount Vernon. Yvonne’s boyfriend, Bernardo, lives in Mount Vernon and she was anxious to reunite with him and family here. She had moved her family to Detroit several years ago, but it was time to come home.
They didn’t bring much with them, just clothing in storage crates. This was truly starting over. They were able to find a rental home they could afford but they had nothing to make it a home.
Fortunately, they were referred to HopeNow Furniture Bank. Yvonne and Bernardo walked through the furniture warehouse, picked out furniture, and were given all the basic housewares that would make their house a home. Yvonne was overwhelmed with feelings of gratefulness. “I can’t believe we can get all this stuff. Thank you, God. It’s unbelievable!

What a difference this will make in turning a house into a HOME!"
